Work Related Injury

What's more, as part of our comprehensive program, we help patients avoid future injuries. Our therapies include strengthening and conditioning, ergonomic training and evaluation of the specific demands of each patient's job requirements.

Types of Injuries

Occupational injury can occur in a variety of ways, causing anything from minor to life changing harm. It has been revealed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics that in 2010 there were 3.1 million different cases of work-related, nonfatal injuries. Through unsafe work environments and accidents, damage can be done to an individual's body that necessitates therapy.

Victims of accidents on the job may suffer head trauma, paralysis, loss of vision, deafness, loss of limb, nerve damage and other physical impairment depending on the severity of the incident. Common reasons for these injuries include exposure to harmful substances, unexpected circumstances such as machinery breaking, unsafe work space, falling from a certain height, and even stress from a traumatic incident at work. Even lifting an object that is too heavy can cause back strain or a pinched nerve that should be treated with proper physical therapy. For injuries that have damage the nervous system or spinal cord, we also offer speech and occupational therapy to help regain fundamental functional mobility and cognitive skills.

Get the Help You Deserve

It is essential that no matter what your injury entails that you first seek medical assistance before continuing on with your everyday life. Some damage to the body may be more internal and ignoring symptoms of pain may only worsen your condition. Speak with a therapist at one of our office locations throughout Nevada and Idaho today so that you can get on the road to the recovery you need. We will work with you to create a plan to not only alleviate your current issues, but also work to prevent any further injury from happening.

Offering coverage under most insurance providers, we offer our services to you and recommend that you contact your physician before coming in for a visit. While it is legal in the state of Nevada for you to come see us directly without a referral, it is always our recommendation that you consult with your personal doctor first.
