Areas of Specialty Care

Providing dedicated therapy services for over a decade, Rehab Services continues to help patients "get stronger every day." With the help of our compassionate team, we can assist you in regaining your independence one step at a time. It is our goal that each of our patient's bodies can heal and work the way they were designed to function. Through various training and exercises, our knowledgeable staff can work with you in different areas of specialty care to obtain the results you desire. The following areas denote different types of injuries and conditions we can support you with as your therapists in Nevada.

Work-Related Injury

Whether straining your back on a construction site or losing a limb in a traumatic work accident, it is important that these types of work-related injuries do not completely alter your quality of life. We have designed specific routines to get you back to work in a timely and safe manner. Focusing on your current injuries, we will work on strengthening your body as well as protecting you from future bodily harm. Evaluating each person's individual needs before even beginning therapy, we will work towards your specific needs and creating a regimen that fits your lifestyle.

Wound Care

Working to improve each of our patient's overall quality of life, we provide therapy for those suffering from various types of wounds. Whether a patient have a major burn, is dealing with surgical wounds or may have ulcers, our therapists have the knowledge to assess the damage and treat them appropriately. Utilizing hydrotherapy and debridement to allow for the wound to heal properly, we will create a plan that works for you and your specific situation.

Post-Op Care

After any form of medical surgery, the recovery time can be extensive without certain therapeutic movement and exercises. We will create a regimen that is tailored to your specific post-surgery situation and help you regain your independence. This may entail physical, speech or occupational therapy depending on the procedure that was performed and the extensiveness of the post-op care that is needed.

Sports Rehab

In the sports world there is a capacity for a lot of harmful injuries. Athletes can hurt themselves without the proper warm-ups and strength exercises. Other times accidents happen and traumatic bodily damage is done. It is our therapists' goal to provide conditioning exercises that can help prevent sports injuries and to give treatment in the even that an injury has already occurred. We have athletes of all ages involved in a variety of sports who come and train at our facility.

Functional Capacity Evaluations

The purpose of the Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is to assess the abilities of a particular individual in balance, lifting, strength and other areas that are related to activities they would perform on the job. They are tested over a two day period and it is used to help get patients back to work as quickly as possible, but in a safe manner. If you are working towards getting back in the field, it is essential that you train properly before placing yourself back out there. The last thing you want to do is cause yet another injury because your body was not ready.

Pre-Employment Screening

This is a tool we provide for employers to determine if a prospective employee is physically capable of performing the kind of work required for a job. It tests to make sure they do not have any previous injuries that could present themselves as harmful later down the road. The pre-employment screening involves a musculoskeletal exam and other specialized screenings in order that the potential worker may be protected, as well as the employer from having work-related injuries on their job site.

Work Conditioning

Those who find themselves injured at work should seek physical therapy in a relatively quick manner so that the healing process may be sped up. Returning to work after bodily damage has been done can often be difficult without the assistance of certain endurance exercises. These types of treatments and strength training routines are called work conditioning. Not only do they prepare an individual to get back in the workplace, they increase coordination, flexibility and the patient's overall physical abilities.
